New York Authorizes ASC Anesthesia Providers to Conduct Post-Anesthesia Evaluations

New York State has adopted a regulatory amendment authorizing anesthesia providers in free-standing and hospital off-site ASCs to conduct post-anesthesia evaluations, according to a Healthcare Association of New York State release.

The modification conforms with regulations regarding administration of anesthesia and post-anesthesia evaluation performance with national standards, according to the release. The amendment accompanied an amendment that will help conform state hospital construction standards with national standards.
