Charles Secora, MD, was terminated Feb. 25 after hospital officials concluded their investigation. Hospital CEO Shawn Lerch said he was unable to discuss the investigation’s findings or what prompted the investigation, according to the report.
Dr. Secora had served as interim CEO of MCMC from October 2011 through July 2012 before Mr. Lerch was hired.
Dr. Secora was not available for comment in the report.
MCMC is a state-owned critical access hospital and long-term care facility with approximately 190 employees.
