Idaho voters approved Medicaid expansion during the November 2018 elections. Idaho legislators didn’t fund the expansion or repeal it, but rather pursued bills to change it.
On April 4, state lawmakers passed legislation that included work requirements for Medicaid recipients. Mr. Little signed the bill April 8.
The Trump administration, which backs Medicaid work requirements, appealed a judge’s recent decision that blocked Kentucky from implementing work requirements for Medicaid recipients. The ruling also stopped Arkansas from continuing its Medicaid work requirement program.
