In the lawsuit, Lee Memorial claimed the spill caused the health system to suffer “economic damages, including, but not limited to, lost inpatient charges and fees, lost outpatient charges and fees, lost deductibles, lost Medicare revenues, lost Medicaid revenues, lost patient revenues and other lost revenues,” according to the report. The system did not give an exact dollar amount of how much it was looking to recoup.
Lee Memorial filed the lawsuit this past weekend, before the three-year statute of limitations on the incident expired.
