Francis Burch, Jr., Named New Chairman of Johns Hopkins Medicine

Francis B. Burch, Jr., has been named the new chairman of Johns Hopkins Medicine, effective July 1, according to a hospital news release.

Mr. Burch is a Baltimore trial lawyer and businessman who currently serves as the chairman of DLA Piper global board and co-chairman of DLA Piper U.S. In addition to his leadership role at DLA Piper, Mr. Burch has been recognized for his legal stewardship and is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of the American Law Institute and a permanent member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference.  

Mr. Burch also has many ties to Johns Hopkins University, where he serves as a trustee to the university and on the board of overseers of its Carey Business School.
