Holly Blakely, 45, initially was charged in a 30-count indictment alleging she paid more than $400,000 in kickbacks and bribes to clinicians for prescribing compounded medications for pain to people that did not need the medication.
She pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud, healthcare fraud, bribery and paying kickbacks.
Ms. Blakely admitted that she conspired with two compounding pharmacies to push prescriptions for compounded drugs and that the pharmacies would submit claims to health plans, including Tricare . In exchange, the two compounding pharmacies paid Ms. Blakely $1.15 million.
Ms. Blakely faces sentencing June 13.
