Former Accountant From Michigan’s Munson Healthcare Gets 4 Years in Prison

Susan Morrison, a former accountant from Munson Regional Healthcare Hospital in Traverse City, Mich., has been sentenced to nearly four years in prison for a $1.1 million fraud scheme, according to a Grand Rapids Press report.

Ms. Morrison was sentenced to 46 months in federal prison for wire fraud and money laundering. She has also been ordered to repay the embezzled funds.

Ms. Morrison transferred funds from the hospital to a personal account she named “Great Lakes Bear Factory of Traverse City,” according to the report.
