The FBI created an email address to help patients obtain their medical records after the medical clinic abruptly closed last month. Emilio Ramon Navarro, MD, head of the clinic, was arrested Sept. 23 on a federal grand jury indictment charging him with 28 counts of trading opioid prescriptions for sex and healthcare fraud for billing the drugs to Medicaid, according to the report.
Patients will need to provide personal information to obtain their medical records, including full name, date of birth, address and phone number, an FBI Field Office Pittsburgh spokesperson told the publication. Patients can expect to receive a copy of their records within one week to 10 days of emailing the FBI’s address, which is PG-Healthcare@fbi.gov.
Dr. Navarro was released on $50,000 bond after he pleaded not guilty to the charges, according to the report.
