The oral arguments from the federal government’s and Mr. Kinder’s attorneys will be heard from Oct. 17-21 in St. Paul, Minn. The healthcare reform law includes a mandate for individuals to buy insurance.
Earlier this month, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta ruled the individual mandate was unconstitutional, though it stopped short of ruling the entire healthcare reform law unconstitutional. This ruling marked a victory for 26 states, led by Florida, who filed a lawsuit seeking to strike down the entire law.
