Continuum and St. Luke’s allegedly double-billed the state Medicaid and Medicare for outpatient services provided at its mental health clinics from 1998 through 2010. The system and hospital agreed to repay the health programs in full, along with interest.
New York’s share in the total settlement is more than $1.06 million.
A whistleblower alleged this activity in a 2008 lawsuit. The Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York opened an investigation into the allegations and confirmed them, according to the release.
