Reps. Gene Green (D-Texas), Sue Myrick (R-N.C.), Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-Texas) and Leonard Lance (R-N.J.) have authored a letter to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, urging her to use a provision under the healthcare reform act, known as “Misvalued Codes Under the Physician Fee Schedule,” to review Medicare payments for anesthesia services as possibly misvalued or undervalued, according to the release. The Congressmen are seeking co-signers.
