A security guard discovered Dominick Allen at the hospital on the morning of Oct. 28. Mr. Allen was wearing scrubs and had a physician’s ID badge in his pocket, according to a KIRO 7news report.
Court documents indicate Mr. Allen was found going through patient files. Prosecutors allege he intended to steal patients’ information to commit identity theft, according to the report.
When Mr. Allen was arrested police found a four-inch blade in his sock and a rusty hatchet in backpack, according to a KOMO News report. He was also carrying patient records and in possession of cocaine.
On Wednesday, Mr. Allen, who has eight prior felony convictions, was being held on $50,000 bail.
