Robin Couch, PhD, and Allyson Dailey, PhD, teamed up with nurses from Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center to develop a COVID-19 test that detects the virus in a patient’s breath, the report said.
“It’s quick,” Dr. Dailey told The Denver Channel. “It takes about two minutes to blow up our bags. That’s just like blowing up a balloon.”
The researchers said the test had an accuracy of 100 percent, according to the report. The test is not currently FDA-approved.
