The federal grant totals just over $633,500, and local sources in the public and private sectors will contribute matching funds up to $653,525. The Technology Ventures group will use the funding to establish the Chesapeake Regional Digital Health Exchange, an effort to advance economic development in the area’s digital health research and business initiatives.

The exchange will have three main goals: building a network to connect the healthcare ecosystem and key influencers in the Maryland and Washington, D.C., area, attracting a pipeline of strong healthcare talent to the region and advancing the commercialization efforts of local digital health technologies.
