The rally comes “as nurses continue to fight for a fair contract that ensures safe patient care and provides nurses with affordable, quality health insurance,” the Massachusetts Nurses Association said via news release.

The two sides have been in contract negotiations since September 2016, and nearly 800 BMC nurses went on strike earlier this month.

The Oct. 24 Unity Rally and informational picket for nurses and supporters is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. in front of the main BMC entrance in Pittsfield.

Editor’s note: Becker’s has reached out to BMC and will post additional details as they become available.
