The $37 million Orlando Health Center for Rehabilitation, which is slated to feature 95,000 square feet and 110 beds, will offer long-term care as well as short-term outpatient rehabilitative services, according to the report. Orlando Health said facility plans also include a separate memory care unit.
The Orlando Business Journal reports hospital officials expect construction to begin later in 2017 and be wrapped up by late next year or early 2019. Once complete, the facility will replace some beds at the current Health Central Park facility in Winter Garden, Fla., Health Central Hospital COO Rick Smith told the publication.
He also told the publication the new facility in Ocoee will bring in about 400 temporary construction jobs. Additionally, he expects to see 150 new employees at the new facility once it’s up and running, along with existing Health Central Park workers who will transfer.
