Here are three things to know about the workforce reductions and contract.
1. Cincinnati Children‘s is choosing not to renew its current contract with Aramark, which expires Sept. 30.
2. A contract with a new vendor has not been finalized. However, the 432 affected employees, who are in cleaning services and related jobs, will be able to reapply when Cincinnati Children‘s chooses a new vendor, according to the report.
3. Terry Loftus, spokesman for Cincinnati Children‘s, told the Cincinnati Business Courier that the hospital hopes a vast majority of these individuals will be rehired.
