Washington Township Health Care Announces Potential Partnership With California’s St. Rose Hospital

The Washington Township Health Care District in Fremont, Calif., parent of Washington Hospital Health System, also in Fremont, has announced approval a letter of intent to preserve the financially struggling St. Rose Hospital in Hayward, Calif.

The proposal by the Washington Township District involves the establishment of  joint powers authority in partnership with Alameda County that would allow for sufficient oversight and management of St. Rose. The District board of directors also committed $2 million in support of a coordinated effort to help St. Rose.
