TeamHealth Acquires 3 Emergency Medicine Groups

TeamHealth, a provider of physician staffing services based in Knoxville, Tenn., has acquired three emergency medicine groups in three states.

In Ohio, TeamHealth acquired North Central Emergency Associates, a group that manages and staffs the emergency departments for Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk and The Bellevue (Ohio) Hospital.

TeamHealth expanded its presence in Wisconsin through a transaction involving the principals of Racine Emergency Physicians. That group manages and staffs the ED for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints Hospital in Racine.

In New Jersey, TeamHealth acquired South Jersey Emergency Physicians, which manages and staffs the ED for Virtua Memorial in Mount Holly.
