Sanford Health, based in Fargo, N.D., and Sioux Falls, S.D., has signed a letter of intent to partner with Clearwater Health Services, based in Bagley, Minn., according to a Sanford news release.
The LOI signals the beginning of several months of analyses, due diligence and communication to develop a final agreement. Under the agreement, Sanford would purchase CHS’ assets and lease the properties for the next three years. Staff would be employed by Sanford.
CHS includes the 25-bed critical access Memorial Hospital, along with clinics and an ambulance service.
