Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Mednax was the most active buyer in the third quarter of 2016 with five acquisitions, according to the report. During the third quarter, Mednax acquired Florence, S.C.-based Medical Anesthesia Consultants; Anesthesia Associates of Naples, Fla.; Maternal Fetal Medicine of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers; Pediatric Cardiology Associates in Fairfax, Va.; and Associated Anesthesiologists of Reno (Nev.).
