As the calendar flipped to the final month of 2024, several health systems closed M&A deals that were first announced earlier in the year: 

Flint, Mich.-based Insight Health System officially acquired Coldwater (Mich.) Regional Hospital from Toledo, Ohio-based ProMedica on Dec. 1.

Greenville, S.C.-based Prisma Health has officially acquired Maryville, Tenn.-based Blount Memorial Hospital, a 304-bed, nonprofit community hospital.

Risant Health, a nonprofit formed by Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente, acquired Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health, a five-hospital system, effective Dec. 1. 

Northwest Urgent Care has wrapped the acquisition of specific urgent care centers in Arizona that are owned and run by Oakland, Calif.-based Carbon Health. 

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems' planned $120 million sale of Commonwealth Health to a newly formed nonprofit organization has collapsed. 

Terre Haute, Ind.-based Union Health has withdrawn its certificate of public advantage agreement for its proposed merger with Terre Haute Regional Hospital, a 278-bed facility operated by Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare. 

Grand Blanc, Mich.-based McLaren Health Care has acquired Park Medical Centers, which operates 10 clinics in the Detroit metro area. 

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems has entered into a definitive agreement to sell ShorePoint Health Port Charlotte (Fla.) and certain assets of ShorePoint Health Punta Gorda to AdventHealth. 

Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare entered into an asset purchase agreement on Oct. 3 to purchase Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare's Lehigh Acres, Fla.-based Lehigh Regional Medical Center.
