EU regulators to clear Abbott Laboratories’ acquisition of St. Jude Medical

European Union antitrust regulators will reportedly approve the $25 billion acquisition of Saint Paul, Minn.-based St. Jude Medical by Abbott Park, Ill.-based pharmaceutical company Abbott Laboratories, with conditions, according to Reuters.

The EU commission is expected to issue a final decision on the transaction by Nov. 23.

Abbott CEO Miles White previously said he hoped to complete the acquisition process by the end of the year. The deal was first revealed in April.
