Here are four things to know about the deal.
1. Under the agreement, Aviacode will retain the majority of Revant’s full-time facility coders, auditors and operations managers, and obtain the company’s existing clients, according to a news release.
2. The agreement will allow Aviacode to offer medical facilities an “all-in-one” coding solution designed to improve revenue, cash flow and compliance, the release states.
3. Keith Hagen, CEO of Aviacode, spoke positively of the deal.
“As the lines between hospitals and physicians continue to blur, and more look to outsource medical coding and other difficult back office functions, we felt it was critical to move more deeply into facility fee coding so we can offer our clients a full range of quality coding services,” he said in the release.
4. Aviacode Vice President of Staffing Services Kris Cottrell will lead the operational business from Salt Lake City. The new full-time employees will continue to work from their home U.S. offices.
