The contract covers 256,000 enrollees through June 30, 2022, when Ohio begins its new program, according to a Dec. 22 news release.
Anthem will then manage Paramount Advantage members who remain on their current plan, as well as members provided to them through its entry into the program.
The deal is expected to close before Paramount Advantage’s contract expires and requires approval from the Ohio Department of Medicaid. Financial terms were not disclosed.
