Alaska hospital set to buy bone and joint center for $8M

Municipal officials in Juneau, Alaska, approved the appropriation of $8.1 million for Bartlett Regional Hospital to purchase the property and buildings that currently house Juneau Bone and Joint Center, Juneau Empire reported July 11.

The municipal-owned hospital will use the new space to expand administrative capabilities and allow for future expansion projects. According to the city’s data, Bartlett would receive $660,000 to $720,000 yearly from commercial lease income. 

The property is located on the hospital’s campus. Hospital officials will finalize the purchase in the coming months.

The news comes after Bartlett Regional completed the acquisition of a local nursing home.
