Dr. Roll has been serving as interim vice dean of research for several months. In conjunction with his new appointment, he has also been appointed Washington State University’s associate vice president for health sciences research. Although he plans to maintain his faculty position at WSU, he’ll depart from his role as senior vice chancellor of WSU Health Sciences Spokane.
In June 2016, the Liaison Committee on Medical Education granted the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine “candidate” accreditation status. In October, the LCME will officially decide whether it will grant the medical school preliminary accreditation, which it needs to start recruiting students.
