The state’s Medicaid agency submitted plans in May to cut rates by 15 percent, meaning PAs and NPs would be paid 85 percent of what physicians are paid, according to the report.

The 5 percent rate cut would save about $1.8 million in state funds, according to the report. It would not affect some healthcare authority programs, like home care coordination.
