Through its network of more than 425,000 leaders, GLG is a company that provides professionals with one-on-one learning experience.
Seven first-year Icahn School of Medicine students have been selected as Mount Sinai-GLG Global Health Scholars, a program led by Mount Sinai’s Arnhold Institute for Global Health. During their time in medical school, these seven students will each work with a Mount Sinai faculty member and GLG’s network of specialists. For every student, the culmination of the collaboration will be creating a global health project, which “range from treating traumatic brain injury to addressing the social determinants of health,” according to the report.
For access to its network of leaders, GLG often charges annual fees of up to $100,000. But Prabhjot Singh, MD, director of the Arhnold Institute for Global Health, did not disclose how much Mount Sinai will pay for the program. Instead, he said the cost was “in the form of a commitment that makes it easy for me to say we should do this,” according to the report.
