The partnership aims to expand the institutions’ research capabilities and enable researchers from both organizations to collaborate on projects and share findings.
Both institutions will continue to maintain their existing partnerships and look for additional opportunities to work with organizations within the local community and across the nation.
The financial terms of the transaction, if any, were not disclosed.
“The Mayo model of research has a long history of transforming the practice of medicine by taking a collaborative approach to medical science. Together with UW-Eau Claire, this partnership will help to spur exciting new developments in research and healthcare education, right here in the Chippewa Valley,” said Richard Helmers, MD, regional vice president of the Mayo Clinic Health System northwest Wisconsin.
