Dr. Nichopoulos is famous for treating Elvis Presley and was accused of over-prescribing him and causing his 1977 death at age 42. While Dr. Nichopoulos was ultimately acquitted of the charges, he eventually lost his medical license in another case, according to the report.
The case was even referenced at the trail for the physician accused of playing a role in Michael Jackson’s death in 2009, according to the report.
