West Virginia Hospital Association Elects New Chairwoman

Karen Bowling, CEO of Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, W.Va., has been elected chairwoman of the West Virginia Hospital Association, according to a WVHA news release.

Ms. Bowling previously helped the association increase hospital participation, raise awareness of its political action committee and work with candidates it supports, according to the release.

Ms. Bowling’s goals for her new position include advocating on behalf of the state’s hospitals and helping them understand healthcare reform and its impact on hospitals in the state.
