Mr. Sommers will oversee the system’s adherence to board-approved standards of conduct and will make sure Via Christi complies with Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA and other regulatory requirements, according to the report.
Mr. Sommers most recently was responsible for risk management, safety, environmental services and plant operations at Wamego City Hospital. He is president of the Kansas Association of Risk and Quality Managers, according to the report.
