Mr. Leger was shot and underwent surgery at UPMC Presbyterian for a gunshot wound to his torso.

Eleven people, including UPMC-affiliated physician Jerry Rabinowitz, MD, were killed during the shooting. At least six injured patients were treated at UPMC Presbyterian, UPMC Mercy and Allegheny General Hospital, all in Pittsburgh.

A 40-year-old male police officer is the only person injured by gunfire during the shooting who is still hospitalized, according to a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette report.
