University of Missouri Opens First Women’s and Children’s Hospital in State

The University of Missouri Women’s and Children’s Hospital is scheduled to open today in Columbia, Mo., and it is being billed as the first women’s and children’s hospital in the state, according to a Missourian report.

MU Health Care invested $14.3 million in renovating the facility, which was formerly Columbia Regional hospital. The new facility moves all of MU Health’s pediatric services — including pediatric inpatient care, the NICU and pediatric outpatient services — under one roof, according to the report.
