A teaching hospital is “the ultimate in healthcare,” said Kenneth Glover, the authority’s chairman. “If we can get a teaching hospital, then what you have is research, the ability to train professionals, attract great doctors.”
The authority is also looking for a buyer for its money-losing Prince George’s Hospital, but Mr. Glover said that is a separate issue.
