Texas Children's Hospital's clinical tower now bears long-serving CEO's name

Texas Children's Hospital in Houston named its clinical tower after current CEO Mark A. Wallace, according to a Houston Business Journal report.

Mr. Wallace, who was named president and CEO in 1989, is the longest-serving CEO at Houston-based Texas Medical Center, which houses the children's hospital.

During Mr. Wallace's tenure, the hospital has grown considerably. It completed a $1.5 billion investment that aim to further pediatric healthcare, including expanding the Feigin Center for pediatric research. Mr. Wallace has earned numerous awards over the course of his career, including the American College of Healthcare Executives' Robert S. Hudgens Memorial Award.

The honor is not signaling any departure plans on Mr. Wallace's part, however, Board Chair Ann Lents told the Houston Business Journal.
