Texans’ top 3 healthcare priorities

Healthcare legislation is one of the most important issues for Texans, but some issues that are more important than others, according to a poll from the Kaiser Family Foundation.

The poll was conducted over the phone between March 28 and May 8 among a random sample of 1,367 adults living in the state.

Here are the top three healthcare issues ranked as top priority by Texans:

  1. Lowering the amount individuals pay for healthcare (61 percent)
  2. Reducing the number of women who die from causes related to pregnancy and childbirth (59 percent)
  3. Lowering the cost of prescription drugs (56 percent)
