Methodist has been working to gain state certificate of need approval for the facility for more than a year. The health system argued for CON approval at a hearing in March. Memphis-based Baptist Memorial Healthcare and Holly Springs, Tenn.-based Alliance Healthcare System both previously contested the plan but have since dropped their opposition, according to the report.
