Only 24 percent of healthcare CFOs thought their company’s financial outlook would improve over the next six months, compared with 52 percent of CFOs overall, and 41 percent of healthcare CFOs thought the U.S. economy would improve over the next six months, compared with 44 percent of all surveyed CFOs, according to the release. Only 16 percent of healthcare CFOs thought the economy would emerge from recession, versus 28 percent of all industry CFOs.

However more healthcare CFOs than other industry CFOs said they were planning salary increases in the next six months (19 percent versus 15 percent).  But fewer said they planned bonus increases (3 percent versus 8 percent), according to the release.
