When it comes to patients’ satisfaction with hospital costs, the United States’ score was not far off from the global average of 37 percent. Of the seven countries represented in the survey, Russians were most satisfied with hospital costs, as 55 percent of them found costs to be reasonable. Here are the other international findings:
India — 48 percent
Germany — 46 percent
Japan — 30 percent
Brazil — 27 percent
China — 23 percent
A similar portion of American patients — 38 percent — also said they considered drug costs to be reasonable.
