The legislation reduces federal spending by $4 billion and includes cuts to earmarked funds directed to the Health Resources and Services Administration, Centers for Disease Control, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and CMS.
The Senate is expected to vote quickly on the measure as current legislation providing funding for federal programs expires on March 4.
