Phoenix’s Banner Good Samaritan Begins $71M Surgical Services Expansion

Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix will break ground this week on a $71 million expansion of its surgical services department, according to a news release by the hospitals.

The expansion will add seven operating rooms and 40 pre- and post-surgical beds and will double the surgical department’s square footage.

“This expansion shows our commitment to the community and that we will continue to grow and change to meet the community’s healthcare needs,” said Banner Good Samaritan CEO Larry Volkmar. “We couldn’t be more excited about Banner’s $71 million investment in Banner Good Samaritan and the community.”
