University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is planning to open an imaging center in West Mifflin, Penn., according to a Pittsburgh Tribune-Review report.
The center is planned to include oncology, MRI, CT, diagnostic radiology, ultrasound and other imaging services. UPMC bought the building from Starpoint Properties for $3,875,000. The facility was used for similar purposes by Jefferson Regional Medical Center, also located in Pittsburgh.
UPMC plans to renovate the facility by early- to mid-summer and operate it at full capacity, according to the report. It will also move its oncology center from Jefferson Regional into the new West Mifflin space.
