Her comments came after President Trump said in an interview with ABC News on June 16 that he had plans to announce new healthcare policy in about two months.
“President Trump has waged an assault on healthcare since the start, and continues to order the Justice Department to ask the courts to destroy protections for people with pre-existing conditions and strike down every other protection and guarantee of affordable healthcare for America’s families,” Ms. Pelosi said, according to the report.
President Trump pushed for ACA repeal in 2017, but it failed in Congress. In the meantime, the administration has set its sights on lowering drug prices and addressing surprise medical bills, The Hill notes.
