Mr. McCormick said many maternity patients are on Medicaid, which pays reduced rates, and that many local pregnant women are seeking more comprehensive treatment at larger hospitals in the region, according to the report.
The hospital will host two public meetings on the matter and could make a decision at its Feb. 25 board meeting.
