The complaints allege that hospital management denied nurses’ requests to have a Montana Nurses Association representative at meetings with their supervisors, prohibited employees from collective action and refused to recognize the union as a bargaining agent, according to the report. An investigation into the complaints is under way.
MNA and the hospital have been negotiating a new contract for approximately 240 nurses since October, according to the report.
In a statement, the hospital said “negotiations are still under way” and it is still “working diligently to negotiate an acceptable agreement for all parties,” according to the report.
