A March 11 lawsuit filed by former Centra employee Stephanie Hale claimed ex-Centra CEO E.W. Tibbs sexually assaulted her. The lawsuit sparked an investigation, and investigators did not find any evidence that Mr. Tibbs committed sexual misconduct or “inappropriately accessed employee contact information in violation of company policy or for unauthorized use,” according to an update cited by The News & Advance.
“Centra will defend itself against what we believe, based on this review, are meritless claims,” the update stated.
Mr. Tibbs became CEO of Lansing, Mich.-based Sparrow Health System after resigning from Centra in October 2018. Sparrow Health put him on paid administrative leave following the lawsuit, and Mr. Tibbs no longer worked at Sparrow as of March 21, according to the report.
