The grand jury did not suggest individual blame, but suggested more systemic issues among Jackson Health executives, the Public Health Trust, which oversees the hospital, and county commissioners, who oversee the Trust, according to the report.
The jury’s report also stated it had “no confidence in the numbers presented in the internal financial reports provided by JHS and ostensibly reviewed by the PHT.” The grand jury called for another investigation into the hospital in one year.
