LHP is evaluating possible locations in both Killeen and Harker Heights for a 75-bed facility. Construction is expected to begin by the end of the year and should be completed by the second quarter of 2012, according to the report.
The hospital will partner with local physicians including those from King’s Daughters Clinic, which has an office in Killeen, to staff the hospital and oversee patient care.
Services planned for the hospital include cardiology, emergency services, family medicine, gastroenterology, internal medicine, nephrology, neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, oncology, otolaryngology, pathology, plastic surgery, podiatry, psychiatry, pulmonology, general surgery, radiology, rheumatology and urology.
